“Hi Gareth thought you would like to know I shot my age on Wednesday (74).  I played Wenvoe Seniors weekly comp and had 50 stableford points.  They were not happy. No more crouching over the ball for me.  Thank you Gareth

Brian Green.

Won my first official golf Competition yesterday.  Best score of 67 golfers.  Then went out today and shot my best score ever.  Would like to thank Gareth.

“Despite having not picked up a golf club for nearly 20 years, I found Gareth to have fantastic patience and enthusiasm during our lessons. Even starting from scratch, after just a few weeks I was confident enough to play a full 18 holes without causing embarrassment! I found Gareth’s method of teaching really easy to understand and apply in practice which helped me get to grips with the basics quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend Gareth to absolute beginners like myself or those who are already capable golfers and are looking to refine their game further.

My son Stephen has been attending the academy for around two years now and thoroughly enjoys the weekly sessions. He started with you when he had only just turned 7 and I expected him to attend a few sessions before deciding he wanted to move onto something else. This was not the case and every
week he would come off the academy buzzing about what he had done and
the improvements in his golf. This enthusiasm has continued and he is
as keen as ever to ensure he is there every Saturday. Even when we go
on holiday he moans that he is going to miss his golf session and has
asked when we have been staying in the UK if we can come back just
for the Saturday morning so he can attend!

Having watched you with the children it is clear that you get the balance spot on between practice and learning their technique mixed with competitions to
motivate them and keeping the sessions fun for the age group. You
have a very calming and professional approach that seems to work
wonders with the children and Stephen now has the confidence to play
a round of golf with me on any course.

The numbers you attract to your Saturday academy is a credit to you and shows the effort you put in. I only wish that this facility was open to me when I was 7 as I can see Stephen is growing into a very good golfer with no bad
habits. Keep up the good work!”

Many Thanks

When I came to see you I had played a few rounds of social golf with
friends over the years and had self taught myself numerous bad habits. When I played I could barely get the ball off the ground and more than often it was
only going a few yards (that is if it wasn’t an air shot). With lots of my
friends playing golf I resigned to the fact that I would not be able to join
them as I had no confidence of being able to play a proper course without
embarrassing myself and those playing with me.

As a final go at it I decided to get some professional lessons to either
confirm I had no place on a golf course or to try and turn it round. I was very
conscious initially because I considered my game to be in the no hope bracket.
However, after the first lesson with you I realised I had done the right thing
and only wished I had taken this step much much earlier. Immediately you made me feel at ease and quickly gave me the confidence that I would be able to strike the ball properly. I never imagined when I first started with you that
it would make such a difference. After only a few lessons with you I was
hitting the ball with confidence and it was going further and straighter than
some of my friends who I considered to be decent golfers.

I now play regularly with friends and have even joined the golf club.
Something I would never have imagined possible 12 months ago. Recently a group of 8 of us had a 3 day golfing break at the Celtic Manor. I was not nervous standing on the first tee and thoroughly enjoyed myself and had some decent scoring rounds.

I would like to thank you for opening up the great game of golf for me
and enabling me to enjoy myself. I would not have been able to do it without
you and would only be playing the odd game here and there hacking my way round!”

Many Thanks

“Gareth is a nice man and he is good at Golf” (Miles, aged 8 )

“Both my boys have been participating in Gareth’s junior coaching sessions. They really enjoy them and their golf has improved no end. My eldest son at 9 has now become a junior member and so can play on the 18-hole course with me. He still attends a weekly coaching session with Gareth and continues to improve in all aspects of his game”. (Mike Burgess)

“More able sports pupils from Ann Edwards Primary School, South Cerney were warmly welcomed and actively encouraged by Gareth to participate in a 10 week Introduction to Golf Challenge.  Gareth immediately built up relationships with all pupils, who were engaged and enthusiastic to put into practice skills being taught.  Over the 10 weeks, pupils were eager to attend, practice outside of the sessions and discuss with other pupils back at school the skills being taught.  At the end of the 10 weeks, the pupils had experience and had exposure to a new sport, professional surroundings and thoroughly enjoyed this challenge.  I would highly recommend Gareth and all the other professionals at Cirencester Golf Club.” (Mrs Joanne Campbell, Ann Edwards Primary School)

“Gareth is the best golf teacher I ever had, and the tallest too !!  Thank you so much for all the things I learnt from you. This has made me a better golfer, and even more importantly, a better boy and person”. (Gabriel aged 12)

“Gareth, my personal praise and gratitude for being much more than a super golf teacher, a truly inspirational mentor to children of all ages and backgrounds. Your dedication and charisma is unique and outstanding. Thank you” (Juan Ochoa, Gabriels Dad)
